Dress Code Policy


Students are required to wear uniforms daily, except for Fridays, which is Spirit Day and gives students the option of wearing a spirit t-shirt sold by the school office.

Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th must wear formal uniforms every Monday for chapel and for special assemblies and events as deemed appropriate.  Advanced notice will be given for events other than Monday chapel.

Backpack & Lunch Boxes– All Grades
  • Backpacks and lunch boxes can be any color or design
  • Example: butterflies, paisley, airplanes, space, etc.etc. 
  • no cartoon characters or skulls
Weekly Schedule
  • Monday: Formal uniform grades K-8
  • Tuesday - Thursday: Regular uniform
  • Friday: Spirit Day shirt
Dress code Highlights
  • Hair must be clean, neat and not extreme in color or style. 
  • All clothing must be of appropriate size, worn modestly, and in good repair
  • Hats are not permitted during the school day
  • Please Note: Parents are required to mark their child’s name in all clothing and shoes so misplaced items can be easily returned. This is important for all clothing items, but especially for winter coats and jackets
  • We expect our students to be well groomed and have shoes tied and shirttails tucked in at all times
  • Socks: No “not” socks (ones that do not show above the shoe) will be permitted for girls or boys on any day
  • Freezing Weather: In the rare case of freezing temperatures in San Antonio, students may wear heavy jackets or coats, which are beyond the required outerwear.  Otherwise, all outerwear including jackets, sweatshirts and sweaters should be the uniform outer ware
  • Hoodies are not permitted
  • Labels: All removable outerwear, lunchboxes, water bottles, etc. must be labeled
  • Girls with bangs shall wear them no longer than the eyebrows. No extreme hair accessories are permitted. Dennis Uniform offers a large selection of hair accessories that match our uniforms
  • Earrings: stud and post only
  • Necklaces, bracelets and rings are not permitted
  • Necklaces are permitted for grades 6-8; one necklace only
  • Piercings are not permitted other than ear lobes
  • No tattoos
  • Wristwatches are not permitted for grades PreK-3-5
  • Wristwatches are permitted for Middle School students, grades 6 -8
  • Light make-up only permitted for Middle School students, grades 7 -8, with no extreme colors
  • Nail Polish is not permitted
  • Modest nail polish colors are permitted for Middle School students, grades 6-8
  • Belts are required for all pants with belt loops in grades 2-8
  • Boys in grades K-8 must have all shirts tucked in
  • Boys must have hair that is above the collar in the back, above the eyebrows, and ears must be visible
  • No extreme hair color or hair accessories
  • Middle School boys should be cleanly shaven
  • No tattoos or piercings
  • Wristwatches are not permitted for grades PreK-3-5
  • Wristwatches are permitted for Middle School students, grades 6-8
  • A cross or other Christian necklace may be worn by boys, grades 5-8
Friday Spirit Day Attire: All Grades
  • Shirts: Short or long-sleeved Spirit Shirt (sold through the school office) to be worn on Fridays and field trips
  • Shorts: Neatly hemmed modest length blue denim, navy or khaki
  • Pants: Khaki, navy, or denim; leggings are not permitted
  • Shoes: Any athletic shoes
