Hi! My name is Carrie Kuhn (Ms. Carrie) and I am so happy to be starting my thirteenth year here at The Buckner Fanning School at Mission Springs. After retiring from teaching kindergarten in the North East Independent School District, I was lucky enough to get a position as a preschool teacher here in the fall of 2008. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
My two children, Justin and Amanda, have blessed me with 4 grandchildren! Justin’s children are Abby and Emmitt; they are 14 and 7 years old. Amanda’s daughters, Bradlee and Marlee, are 11 and 10 years old. Bradlee and Marlee attend middle school here. They have been here since Pre-K 3, and they love it! Besides spending time with my grandchildren, I love reading and walking.
As much as I loved teaching the three-year-olds, I am looking forward to the challenge of teaching Pre-K 4 again. My hope for this year is to make your children excited and happy to come to school each day by giving them an abundance of opportunities to explore and learn through developmentally appropriate activities. I want them to feel challenged, successful, and to know that God and Ms. Carrie love them!
